I have the same mower for over one year. Never had a problem of any kind, it's very easy to use, especially for a 72 years old lady who has 1/2 acre land. 😁🤞

I have a newer one, with a Briggs 9 ft pound engine that has an oil filter. Anyway, it seems like the differential is locked? This meaning, it turns fine, forwards, or backwards. But when you turn the mower, it is locked like a solid axle. In drag race terms, it is like a locked, welded, or spool on the rear axle. I have 3 older Snapper 21 inch mowers with the same or similar self propelled system. Those all let the wheels move freely when making a turn.

I’ve been thru it also and lazar surgery in Oklahoma City 9 years ago, now it’s kinda hurting after 6/8 hours but I went back to the frac shop and worked 5 more years and now only small engines period 😊 Don’t over do it Don’t use the weed eater please, not yet 😢

Back to the valves, he said it is 100% of the time the Valves also check the flywheel key, which also goes to the valves for timing. I have the same problem with my DR Mower with a Kawasaki FC 420V. The presenter said "Try tapping the intake valve with a soft mallet" to break loose the buildup on the valve. The additives in the gasoline build up around the Intake Valve. Hopefully this will resolve both of our problems since they appear to be the same. If it is the exhaust valve, it will normally have a bent stem.

I wish people would use the right descriptive term. Cranking means the starter is spinning the engine. When it fires up it is running, not cranking.

Teryl Fixes All had an episode on what a CRAP shoot these engine's can be and I looked up at least a dozen different "Aftermarket" Cams that had 90% good feedback but the 10% that fail can be catastrophic !! Fleabay and amyzoon both have reviews that make me want to scrap my 20 hp "Gold Edition" ? B S💩 engine..

Great idea, but some mowers like Honda have 2 blades. The blade that 'mulches' has a hole that your balancer will not accommodate.

Mine was working the. Stopped after hitting g something. When I pull the cable I hear a screeching sound and wheel won’t move. Almost like an obstruction. I went to the gear box but just lost some lubricant.

I made the mistake of buying one of these Troy built 4 strokes several years ago. It’s a piece of junk. I got tired of fixing it and bought an electric.

What about using thin Teflon sheet, thin nylon sheet, or thin brass sheet to act as buffer between those large contact surfaces in the steering mechanism.

odd question when cutting grass is it "beneficial" to let the mower run completely out of gas to put fresher gas in the tank? didn't know if that helped (or hurt) the performance of the mower.

I have a Kobalt 13-Amp 21-in Corded Lawn Mower and it doesnt start, Im trying to figure out how to fire it up, it stopped working after the power went out.

This is my idea of what a back yard should look like and it looks like mine. Lots of old mowers, tillers, and other things with small gas engines that need some parts and TLC.
